Phase 3 - Implementation: 04/2021 - 08/2021
OVERVIEW
Funded by Oxfam Novib in the Netherlands, in 2019, the Green Superstar Competition (international name: Green Superstar Impact SMEs Competition) was successfully piloted in 03 countries: Somalia, Greece and Uganda with more than 60 businesses registered to participate. In 2021, the competition spreads to 06 countries including Somalia, Greece, Uganda, Nigeria, Pakistan and Vietnam.
In Vietnam, the competition is co-organized by Centre for Supporting Green Development - GreenHub and Oxfam in Vietnam. The objective of the competition is to support SMEs to create social impact and pursue a circular economy through promoting green practices and new sustainability models.
The Green Superstar Competition has 02 rounds: Assessment Round and Pitching Round. 06 winning proposals will then be implemented during the 4 month period from 04/2021 to 08/2021.

Feasibility and relevance of proposal

The proposed project is described clearly and is relevant in increasing the environmental impact of the Impact SMEs.
Social impact
(20%)
The proposed project is described clearly and is relevant in increasing the environmental impact of the Impact SMEs.
Strength of team
(20%)
The team has the qualifications and experience to manage and implement the project successfully. Having a significant number of women and youth on the team is a plus.

(15%)
The Impact SMEs use natural resources efficiently and makes positive impact on the environment
Growth potential of the business (15%)
The Impact SMEs addresse a clear market need with a unique product or service. It demonstrates innovation. There are a clear business model and a realistic growth strategy.

The board of jury scores and select 12 best applications from 1/3/2021 - 15/3/2021
Document finalization

16/03: The Organizing Committee announces 12 SMEs to be selected to the next round
16/03 - 25/03: SMEs amend their application forms and provide necessary information
PITCHING
26/03/2021
12 SMEs pitch their company and proposal.
7 winners will be announced and grant contracts will be processed.
IMPLEMENTATION
04/2021 – 08/2021
7 winners' projects will be implemented with the support and supervision of Oxfam in Vietnam and GreenHub.
